Still Woods #1 is a devotion to Sandalwood — a fragrance shaped like a quiet temple, where the air rests heavy with sacred warmth. We honor our Sandalwood by surrounding it with gentle woody companions - Tulu Balsam, Balm of Gilead, and Amyris. These soft-spoken woods offer their presence humbly, giving space for Sandalwood to shine - warm, velvety, calm, and deeply grounding. A touch of Patchouli roots blend even further, supporting and steadying the entire composition like earth beneath bare feet.

Two beloved florals rise to accompany the woods: the plush, romantic Rose Damask and the serene, ivory glow of White Magnolia. Together they soften the Sandalwood with a floral hush — elegant, refined, and gently sacred.

A small ribbon of Beeswax rounds the blend, offering golden warmth. We weave in our Honey Bee Accord, a whisper of sweet resin, along with a hint of Coriander and the bright, red-gold spark of fresh Blood Orange. These subtle top notes flicker like sunlight slipping between trees.

At MRF, we craft with reverence — choosing to step lightly on the earth.
We forgo nearly all animal-derived ingredients, honoring instead the quiet generosity of the hive: honey, beeswax, and propolis, gathered in golden threads. Our essences remain truly clean, shaped only by what feels honest and whole.
No parabens or phthalates, no silicones or PEGs, no artificial dyes, BHT, BHA, or sulfates — nothing that dulls the wild, living heart of the plants.

MRF NATURAL OIL PURFUMES
Our MRF Scents are crafted to be deep, resonant, and wonderfully long-lasting. Each Essence is blended with care—most at 20% to 26% dilution, with select Eau-de-Parfums at 15% for those who prefer something a little lighter. While Eau-de-Parfum won’t linger quite as long as our Perfume Essences, its richness and fragrance remain beautifully present—simply reapply as desired.

MRF blends are composed of Essential Oils, Absolutes, Tinctures, Extracts, and Resins, creating fragrances that unfold slowly and generously. Anchored by a rich foundational accord, each Essence carries its heart and head notes with depth and elegance. Because they are made from true natural oils, they evolve on the skin—responding to your warmth, your chemistry, your individuality.

How to Explore an MRF Essence
Begin with a gentle dab on pulse points: the wrist, the inner elbow, behind the knees, or just under the ears. Allow the oil to settle on the skin—avoid rubbing, so the molecules can bloom naturally. As the top notes lift and soften, the deeper heart reveals itself, followed by a warm, lingering dry-down unique to each wearer. Give the blend time… and it will show you its full story.

Why We Choose Ethanol
We prefer ethanol as the carrier in our MRF blends. It cradles our thick, resinous oils beautifully, giving each Essence a smooth, clear, and well-rounded profile. Natural Essential Oils dissolve best in ethanol, ensuring a more polished blend—and the added benefit of longevity, as ethanol acts as an excellent natural preservative. Of course, if you prefer an oil-based carrier, we are always happy to craft your Essence that way. Your satisfaction remains at the heart of all we do. ❣️
